FirstLeap - A COVID Rehabilitation Program

A holistic solution to empower women socially and economically.

Conceived in 2014, with a promise to inspire and radically alter the way a woman represents herself and is represented by the society, UMEED aspires to bring about an immediate and lasting difference, one of hope, dignity and security.

Our programs cater to women from urban low income communities, taking them on a learning and leadership journey that focuses on 3 core components:

SKILL

Workshops for building skills that make them employable. Women are trained into making eco-friendly handicrafts out of recycled newspaper

MINDSET

Intensive awareness workshops that make women more self-aware, and knowledgeable about values that support their personal and professional
growth

EXPOSURE

Sessions and field visits that lead to knowledge and awareness about fundamental rights, duties, work rights and responsibilities of women
